What is bronx community board 9?

Bronx Community Board 9 (CB9) is a local government unit located in the South Bronx area of New York City. CB9 is responsible for the oversight and implementation of programs and services aimed at improving the quality of life for its residents.

Some of the neighborhoods within CB9 include Morrisania, Crotona Park East, and Belmont. The board is made up of 50 volunteer members who are appointed by the Bronx Borough President and serve two-year terms.
